معلومة اليوم

هو عالم جغرافيا انجليزي ولد في عام 1933 وهو صاحب الفكرة الاساسية وراء ما يعرف اليوم بنظم المعلومات الجغرافيا – Geographic Information System . يلقب السيد روجر ب “The Father of GIS” حيث نال العديد من الاوسمة الرفيعة والجوائز وهو عضو شرفي في كثير من المجتمعات العلمية . اسس مع السيد Jack Dangermond شركة ESRI وهي الشركة التي تنتج برمجيات ArcGIS وهي الشركة الرئدة في هذا المجال . توفي عام 2014 .
